Nice Night Bike Ride

I was doing a little riding around the block last night (sat.)and finally going back to the house when my neighbor pulled up and parked. He asked me if i was riding and i told him not really, just hangin around here. So he said lets go for a ride!I said sure,why not. He called a buddy of his who rides as a daytime courier/messenger downtown and told him we would be by to pick him up. He was tired from riding all day but decided to come along.

We headed all the up Glendale Blvd. over the hill toward Fletcher and Riverside Dr. then headed to Griffith Park's front entrance but as we did, the ranger seen us and cut us off before we could enter the now closed park gates.
Oh well, we tried so anyway we continued up the street toward Hillhurst then down to Sunset Blvd. where we headed east and eventually back to our area. It was the perfect night and time for a good local 12 mile ride. Now these guys are youngsters so i told them if they decided to bust out riding to go for it and i would be fine just cruising and enjoying the night air. They did too but waited for me down the road. I soon went another way and split up from them. I was ready to head back home by now but i wanted to pass the lake first, cause i really like the city view and reflections off the water.

I made it home soon after and just as i pulled up my cell phone rings. He asked me where i went and i told him i decided to go this way instead so after that i was ready to call it a night. I'm gonna be doing this again more often, either solo or not and always at my enjoyed pace...fast or slow. It really doesn't matter to me cause i'm out for the adventure and ride.
