Hey, its ...San Fran, Cisco
Headed up to the city where i didn't leave my heart but still did really enjoy visiting the one area w
here i spent mostly all my time...Fisherman's Wharf.
I took the ol' Greyhound up even though i remember how much i really don't like the bus ride at all, i bucked up and did it. I really couldn't beat the price - $36.00 roundtrip but only because i decided to do that mystery shopper thing by giving my comments and their service performance.
How could i not go for that! Well anyway it was good coming up cause the bus i was in line for filled up just as i got to the door. Me and about 5 others in front of me had first choice on seats and then it wasn't even filled so i had a free seat next to me which helped not being so "cramped" as it does get. We'll see on the way back how it works out.
Funny how the same time it took to fly to New York about 7 hours was almost exactly the same to Frisco! wow.
I made my way from the station to catch a bus but stopped at a (of all places) Noahs New York Bagel coffee. That woke me up cause i was still groggy from trying to catch some z's.
I found out which way it was to the Embarcabero area where i would then make my way to where i would be staying, over in the Fort Mason area next to the shoreline. I figured i could just walk in the general direction till i got there. It was a walk but nothing i couldn't handle.
Besides i had my coffee and bagel so i was ready.
I just took my time and took in the sights and views. It was great! Once i got to my destination i checked in and got settled, took a good hot shower and became familiar with my surroundings. I gotta say, i picked a really cool spot to stay at. The view alone was priceless and so easy to get back to the areas i wanted to venture to, namely the wharf with its views, food and tourist.
I decided i would rent a bike for the day and i plan to ride over the "bridge" to Sausalito then take the ferry back. That the plan since its my last day and i'm leaving later in the night.
more later...
