Working on the truck
Not driving anywhere lately! Truck's clutch needs to be replaced, so this was going to be a job for me to do once again. Last time i changed it all was so long ago i barely remember. Well i better know how to do this again is all i can say! The clutch and pressure plate, also to be replaced is the throwout bearing and small pilot bushing. That lil bushing is not so easy to get out either! Now...finding parts for a rare classic etc. is where all the work comes to play...and play i did! Finally found everything needed and all is back together (after 3 hours). Since the starter has to be removed to pull/drop the trans. i decided to take advantage and replace a few old leaking freeze plugs. Another challenge in itself because of awkward space to with in. Done! Now after i put the charged battery back in we will see if i did good?...or it all has to be removed and done the right way (if its wrong for any small reason) cause thats all it takes!!! We'll see????yup..after a few minor ajustments all is well.
